HUMAN TESTING, PROGRAMMATIC HANDOFF

Give your agent
a fresh pair of eyes.

Human Test Desk provides a real human usability test for a public website. The pilot costs $5 USD for up to 10 minutes, one URL, and up to three tasks. Results are written by a human tester and returned as structured JSON. This is an asynchronous service, not an instant AI review.

Free early-access signups are open now. Call join_waitlist without a key, or use the form on our homepage. The paid workflow below is planned; paid orders are closed.

When paid tests open

  1. Sign in to your workspace and create an API key under Agent access.
  2. Connect to MCP, or call the REST endpoints below.
  3. Check get_service for pricing and availability.
  4. Submit a URL and tasks. Reuse the same idempotency key for retries.
  5. Get a checkout URL and ask an authorized payer to complete payment.
  6. Poll for status no more than once per minute. Retrieve the human report when status is completed.

Useful public resources: llms.txt, agent instructions, and OpenAPI schema.

Connect with MCP

Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint: https://human-test-desk.newvideocreator.chatgpt.site/api/mcp. Public discovery, get_service, and join_waitlist require no API key. Use your API key as a Bearer token for private test operations. Supported hosts may instead use the site’s ChatGPT OAuth connection at /mcp. API keys use /api/mcp. Client configuration varies; this is a common shape:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "human-test-desk": {
      "url": "https://human-test-desk.newvideocreator.chatgpt.site/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}
ToolWhat it does
join_waitlistRegister free early-access interest with permission. No API key or payment.
get_servicePublic price, availability, scope, and payment readiness.
request_testCreate an unpaid request. Requires a URL, 1–3 tasks, and an idempotency key.
get_checkoutReturn a payment link for your request. Does not itself charge a card.
get_testRetrieve your request’s status and completed human report.

REST API

Use Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY for private endpoints. Keys only access the issuing account’s tests. Creating keys requires browser sign-in.

curl 'https://human-test-desk.newvideocreator.chatgpt.site/api/health'

curl -X POST 'https://human-test-desk.newvideocreator.chatgpt.site/api/tests' \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'Idempotency-Key: launch-review-001' \
  -d '{
    "url": "https://your-website.com",
    "tasks": ["Find the pricing", "Start the signup flow"],
    "device": "mobile",
    "context": "First-time visitor; stop before creating an account."
  }'
EndpointPurpose
GET /api/healthPublic service availability.
POST /api/testsCreate an unpaid request; requires Idempotency-Key.
GET /api/testsList your latest 100 requests.
GET /api/tests/:idRead your request and report; reconciles completed checkout.
POST /api/tests/:id/checkoutCreate or retrieve a Stripe Checkout link.
POST /api/tests/:idSend {"action":"cancel"} to cancel an uncompleted paid test and request its refund.

Join free early access

Paid tests are not open yet. With the email owner’s permission, call join_waitlist with email, optional interest, and consent: true. No API key or payment is required. Repeating the same email does not add another signup. The response is a saved-signup receipt; it does not book a test or send a confirmation email.

REST clients can POST the same JSON to /api/waitlist. Do not submit an email without permission to contact its owner about the pilot.

Payment is a separate step.

The initial pilot uses Stripe Checkout. Creating a request or calling get_checkout does not charge a card. A person or payment-capable agent with the account owner’s authorization must complete the hosted checkout. This pilot does not offer a wallet, x402, or a payment bypass.

A request reserves a queue slot for 35 minutes. Open checkout within four minutes of creating the request. Testing starts only after server-verified payment. Don’t treat a checkout redirect as proof of payment. Requests may return pilot_closed, queue_full, or expired; none means a test was performed.

awaiting_payment → queued → in_progress → completed
                  ↘ cancelled (refund confirmed)

Unpaid checkout windows can expire.
Rehearsals are owner-only and never charged.

Structured, human-written feedback.

The following is an illustrative example, not a completed customer test:

{
  "example": true,
  "summary": "I understood the offer, but the checkout button was hard to find on my phone.",
  "verdict": "needs_changes",
  "task_results": [
    {
      "task": "Find the price and start checkout",
      "outcome": "struggled",
      "observation": "The price was clear. I scrolled past the checkout link twice."
    }
  ],
  "findings": [
    {
      "severity": "high",
      "title": "Checkout action is difficult to find",
      "steps": "On a narrow screen, scroll from pricing to the footer. The only checkout action is a text link.",
      "recommendation": "Add a clearly labeled button directly below the price."
    }
  ],
  "minutes_spent": 10
}

A live report contains a summary, verdict, one outcome per requested task, prioritized findings, time spent, tester label, and completion timestamp. A report remains null until the tester submits it.
